Rebecca Ferguson has been taking some time out since her time on The X Factor a couple of years ago to get all serious and music-business-y, and create an album that she was happy with. Unusually for an X Factor contestant, she’s only really found herself landed in one major drama, which happened to be quiffy, leather jacket wearing and from Bradford.
But now that all the Zayn Malik debacle is hung up and laid to rest, Rebecca’s been giving a bit of advice to this year’s contestants, about the best ways to deal with the fame and frickin’ craziness that comes with the show.
Chatting to Digital Spy, Rebecca admitted that while it’s an amazing opportunity, it has the potential to bite you on the bum a bit if you’re not careful: “I still think it's a brilliant platform for new artists. The biggest mistake you can make is not staying grounded.
