The X Factor Birthday Extravaganza: One Direction covers, lyric fumbles and a cameo from Chico

So what went down?

Basically, it was a massive celebration tonight as The X Factor turned the big 1-0 (they look good for their age, don't they?) and there was a whole heap of past X Factory guests turning up including Olly Murs, Joe McElderry and ruddy Alexandra Burke. But there was also some singing too. Kinda the main point, really.

Who blew the pants off the judges?

Luke Friend won the evening hands down for us with his jazzed up rendition of One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful. It was INCREDIBLE. Agh, just thinking about it is making our ovaries quiver all over again.

Rough Copy also made us well nostalgic of the Little Mix days with their amazing cover of En Vogue's Don't Let Go. It might not have been *as* great as when those little muffins did it but still, the crowd went absolutely mental for them as well as the judges.

And Sam Bailey got a standing ovation, obvs.
