You Me At Six songs 'banned by X Factor producers'

They might be on course to nab their first ever UK number one album with Cavalier Youth this week (hoorah), but don't expect to see Josh Franceschi and co. bopping about on The X Factor stage anytime soon. Why? 'Cause apparently their songs have been BANNED by the show's producers.

Yup - YMAS' rather fit frontman's revealed that past contestants who've wanted to cover the band have had their ideas shot down faster than you can say 'Niall Horan's doner meat'. Gah - and there was us holding out for a Miss Dynamix twist on Bite My Tongue.

Chatting to the Daily Star, Josh said: "Me and our drummer Dan Flint were out with James [Arthur] and some other X Factor singers one night. A few of them are You Me At Six fans too. They'd really wanted to do one of our songs. However, the producers won't allow rock songs to be performed unless it's by famous bands like AC/DC."

Oh, bloody hell. Suit yourselves, producer-y types.
