The X Factor’s Hannah Barrett reveals she suffered from racial abuse while on the show

Even sassy so-and-sos like Hannah Barrett can’t escape the wrath of those ruddy internet trolls that seem to come hand in hand with being in the public eye, and she’s admitted that while her time on the X Factor live shows was amazing, there was also a much darker side to it.

After being voted off the show on Sunday, Hannah revealed that she’s been victim to a whole load of hate from fans of the show, mostly about her appearance, but also including some particularly shocking racial abuse.

Speaking to The Sun about her time on The X Factor, Hannah explained that it wasn’t always as glamorous and fun as it might seem for us lot watching it on the TV: “I’ve had a lot of hate - people have been racist to me.”

“They say they hate my music, they tellme that because I’m black I can’t ever be a singer. Some people are full of so much hate.”
