One Direction to break another record as their Where We Are tour looks set to earn $1 billion?

One Direction have broken more records than we did that time we fell into our dad's CD cabinet (we never did replace that Cher album - oopsies). And now, not content with generally being the biggest thing on planet Earth, the lads could enter the record books for their big Where We Are stadium tour.

Yup - apparently our fave fellas' ticket sales could surpass actual U2 and the real life Rolling Stones, making it the first tour to earn over a billion dollars in a year. Oh you faaancy, huh?

U2 and 'The Stones' currently hold the two top spots when it comes to big on-the-road records, but it's looking like the boys could be on track to make a whopping £610.5million *and* smash Bono and co's average of 66,110 for each gig. Not bad for the five lads off of the X Factor stairs, eh?

Oh, and as if that wasn't enough 1D broke *another* record by becoming the first band to sell out the 94,392-capacity Rose Bowl in California. Hooray and hoorah.
